Where does your Mimosa Hostilis root bark come from?
Our root bark is cultivated and harvested in Mexico by local communities using sustainable, traditional techniques. Every batch is lab-tested for potency and purity before it ships.
What is the difference between Bark Chips, Shredded, and Powdered Mimosa Hostilis Root Bark?
All four are the same inner root bark — the difference is particle size and how fast it releases color. Chips are the least processed, best for slow, traditional dye baths. Shredded is the most popular, giving faster and more even extraction. Mixed cut blends both for general-purpose use. Powder is the finest grind, giving the fastest extraction and most concentrated color — the standard choice for soap making and precise small-batch dosing.

How do you ensure sustainability in your harvesting practices?
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Here’s how we ensure it: Selective Harvesting: We only harvest roots from mature trees (40–90+ years old) to preserve the health of the trees. Non-Damaging Techniques: After harvesting, the trees are allowed to recover for 2 months. New roots begin to grow, and within 8 months, the trees are ready for another harvest. Reforestation Efforts: We plant a new tree for every 10kg of product sold, ensuring the long-term health of the Mimosa Hostilis population. These practices allow us to provide premium Mimosa Hostilis root bark while protecting the environment.
